Well, first on Friday night DH's car (which was parked out front of house) was totaled by a hit and run driver, whom I suspect was DUI, a witness said they heard laughter coming from the driver.
Then last night my sister called to have me pick her up at her house (she lives in the same town) because the police were evacuating people from the neighborhood. There was a shooting 3 doors down from her and there was a holdout in the house. So she spent the night with us. The shooting victim is in serious condition with 4 gunshot wounds, by his girlfriend's son. But they tear gassed him out - he was hiding under the bed! All is calm now, but this all happened in the town that was #2 in safest towns in the U.S!
I'm looking forward to a nice quiet fall and winter.
