No only the cuckoo was a girl. The two early wattle developments were both boys.I'm guessing the original posters all ended up being girls!
Yes the frizzle was a boy. Started crowing early on.Oh really? Even the frizzle with the wattles?
I’d love to know and see them now @kirkyanne
The cuckoo was the only female. We rehomed the other two.I see a lot of threads that start off strong but then we never end up knowing what happens sometimes it's a bummer cuz it could help somebody in the future you know but hey at least we got some great pics on this thread! !
Well hello Francesca what a beautiful Italian name.... are you getting any eggs from the young lady yet, I finally broke down after six years and bought chicks I swore I was done rearing chicks... the good thing is they're all girls for the most part they are sex linked hybrid more feather sexThe cuckoo was the only female. We rehomed the other two. View attachment 2239572
This is a tough one especially cuz it's frizzled how old is it again? I'm going with female stillSo this is Zasu yesterday... and I was still thinking pullet... until...
This afternoon he/she started sparring with one of the other chicks who are about 7 weeks now and wouldn’t let up. All 3 have had bits of a sparring session previously which have led to nothing. But today, Zasu was grabbing Yogi’s neck feathers and wouldn’t let go, and Yogi was just dragging him/her around trying to get away. I actually intervened a couple of times, but left them to it as they have to live together ultimately. They have sorted themselves out now, but I fear this is too much cockerel-like behaviour...
Any thoughts on Zasu’s sex... he/she is only just about showing some light pink wattles...
