I hatched 2 roos and they were about 18 weeks before the spurs started to show.

I have 7 roosters and their spurs are a little more than 1/2 inch nubs and they are almost 1 year old...

I don't think their spurs start to show much before 6 months. I have several hens with 1/2 - 1 1/2" spurs, so spurs aren't always a good way to judge boy from girl...
