What age does laying stop

My girls; Bhrahma & Rhode Island Red are 2&1/2 years old and haven't laid in 2 & 1/2 weeks now. Have they come to the end of their laying?

Many birds take breaks during the heat of summer. As birds age they lay less each season. Many will stop completely between 5-8 years with a few sporadically laying later. Your best production is seen during the first 2-3 seasons.

Sure it does. They are pets with a purpose. I looked forward to the 2 eggs almost daily. Now there's nothing. Back to buying eggs.
Still love them though & waiting to see if they'll resume.
They'll always be my pets.

They may pick back up again. I advise patience. Is it hot where you are? Are they getting enough daylight hours? Are they moulting? Do you provide a separate dish of oyster shell? Those can all be factors in going off lay. Good luck!

Thanks for your response & suggestions.
It's always hot in the Caribbean where I'm from. We have 2 Seasons...Wet & Dry. We're now entering the wet season, so as a result it's a bit cooler now.
I do provide oyster shells (separately)which I'm not sure if they ever eat...they don't seem to like it.
They're not moulting.
Every now and again they go to their nesting box & sit for a while, but come up empty each time.
I'll try clearing out the box & putting fresh saw dust & see if it might "lighten" thingsThey've had that same saw dust for a very long time now(although it's not contaminated or anything)
