What age to chickens start to lay eggs??

    [​IMG] I have 30 birds that I bought as day old chicks. This was Feb. they are 6 months old now. When will they lay their 1st eggs?

    In general production layers should start at 18 - 24 weeks.

    Larger heavier breeds can take much longer. Some of mine didn't start laying until 32+ weeks.
