This little chick looks very similar to my Polish in build and size...
Anyone care to venture a guess? Please

ETA -- I realize it's a bad picture, so here's some details. It's black with some yellow on it's face and belly. Dark and light colors on it's legs, no feathers on them though. Long lean build and long neck. The top half of it's beak is black, the bottom's light. Hope that helps someone!

Jody it hatched from a small tan egg. About the same size as the Polish egg, but it was more round. Can you really tell gender by egg shape?

No, like I said, it's got naked legs, so it can't be a cochin. And it's way too small to be a Jersey Giant

It's starting to fluff up now, so I can get a better picture later. But size wise, it's the same size as the Polish. Same shape too. My EE is huge and fluffy, but the Polish and this little chick are scrawny looking, even when fluffified.

It looks almost blue in the picture to me. Did it come from an egg from your place, if so, what breeds do you have? New pictures would be an added benefit for us guessing and you finding out what it is...

Shellie - I was asking about egg color to help identify the breed. Could it be a bantam black orp? Do you know what breeds it could possibly be..that would help?
