What am I ? Cockerel or Pullet??? age estimate?

OH!
Why ever would they remove the comb and wattles? Yikes!

Although...That explains why when I Google Cele Old English Bantam I find what looks like him but in more of a Hen form.

Thank you! Now I can better figure out how to best care for him...

Although no one fights these chickens any more (and that subject is taboo here on BYC) I believe the dubbing was done to decrease injuries when the two roos 'interacted' with one another. The practice has persisted much like cropping dogs ears. There may be an advantage to the dubbing if you live in a very cold climate and very large combs will get frost-bitten. Removing the comb is pro-active.

I also didn't preview my answer and have a typo--it is Crele Old English Game Bantam (not Cele)

How do I take care of a Him?

I think we were all convinced he was Hen!

Will he EVER be able to hold his own with the Big Gurls and can I trust him to stay in my yard and not fly over to see what the neighbors are doing?

Plus,
I think the typo was mine, not yours. No harm, No fowl

Hello, I wanted to share with you pictures of my speckled Sussex as a chick. Below is the latest picture at 3 months. I hope Poppy is a hen! Still not sure any guesses?

Well, I'd guess it's a girl = pullet = Hen
Lucky!

Because the tail feathers are rounded.
I'm questioning my Sussex sex because the tail feathers seem pointed..."seem" is a word choice born of my denial.
I really, really. really, really, really, really do NOT want 'Her' to be a Roo

For sure! I'm hoping my chickens are all hens too. I can't stomach the idea of finding a new home for my pets. Good luck keep us posted too!
