I have several chicks from my January hatch from Pamperpoultry that I'm just not sure of. They came from unmarked eggs. I know she has cochins, frizzles, sizzles, silkies, Japanese. I have every breed but the Sizzles so I don't know if this is what I have in some of these chicks or if they are a barnyard mix. They are all 6 weeks old now and I've tried to add as much description as I can to the photos. I haven't really been able to go by feather development because a couple are obvious boys and they have all their feathers in, the same as my obvious girls.

Any help with sex, coloring and breed would be helpful since I need to start rehoming the boys and it always helps to know what you are rehoming!

I think I'm either a Sizzle or a Frizzle? Not sure if I'm a boy or girl. I have 5 toes and black skin and turned up feathers that go everywhere!

So there are such things as smooth Sizzles??? I really know nothing about the breed.

I can't say for sure if the lav is pullet or not. It looks good though, I'm hopeing to get some Lav and Mottled Cochins from her.

But yeah I'm pretty sure that when breeding Fizzles, that not all of the offspring will be frizzled and I guess it works the same way in Sizzles.

Very addicting!

Sizzles can be frizzled or smooth, and you should use one of each when breeding. The goal is to get a frizzled bird with all silkie traits- but I have a few that err on the cochin side. I like them just fine

Here is my little blue sizzle- mom is a white cochin, dad is a splash sizzle. She has light skin and a single comb like a cochin, but 5 toes.

What a cutie! Thank you for all the information. I had no idea about Sizzles. It seems like I have a bunch of Sizzles then? Some smooth, one not? They all have different combs too. I love them just the same...now just to find out their sexes.
