ducky is still with us, not seen any more 'lood' so perhaps it was just something it had eaten.

it has now taken up the art of quacking so im guessing not muscovy (all my muscovys hiss or squeak, never had a quack out of them)....

so im leaning towards the original guess of some sort of mallard cross?
