Hi Just a quick question on the subject of he / she ?
We have a 13wk old chick who has started making a funny noise ... a bit like a cross between a crowing and the sort of warning noise my other chickens make if something startles them or they are demanding to come out. We thought straight away that because of the noise it was a roo but it is showing no other signs ... no spurs coming comb and wattles seem not overly big. Any ideas of when can we tell for sure ?

Do you see saddle feathers at all on the chicken? Can you post a pic, that would help if we could see him/her.
