Hi again, I have Cochin Bantam hens and a bunch of them are all trying to lay on the same pile of eggs! I know when they get broody it's hard on their little bodies. What should I do? Should I take the eggs away and get rid of them or ???? [IMG] they could be fertile cuz I have roos with them but if they should hatch i wouldn't know right away and would be worried the others would end up killing the newly hatched chicks. Any thoughts about this would be greatly appreciated!!! Help!

Do you have any of the hens that are actually broody? If not, remove the eggs. They're just going to waste in the coop. Plus you run the risk of them getting broken and your chickens discovering that raw eggs taste good.
Absolutely no reason to leave eggs in the nest unless you have a sure 'nuff broody.
