If you guys think silkie, let me pose a question...How long would it take to breed out the white/blue lobes, black skin, and dark legs/shanks (could be wrong on this)?

Just out of interest, look at the Cream Legbar. It is a British sex-linked hybrid. It doesn't look much like your rooster, but it has a similar crest. It is a hybrid composed of Brown Leghorn, Barred Rock and some Araucana. I think it worth mentioning to show how crests can show up not necessarily from an obviously crested breed. Perhaps some Araucauna somewhere in his make-up contributed to the crest.
