Between that stump and you
Well, I have a mixed pullet between a supposed Buff Orpington Rooster and some Red Star hens. I didnt notice until she (and about three or four others) was about three months old that they had bluish green legs. The rooster and the hens she is out of had white legs, and so does her brother here in the first pic. Any ideas?

This is the father, supposedly a pure Buff Orpington:

And the hens in the pen were all Red Stars, looked all basically like this:

The legs are odd- but she does look like what you might expect for a BO x Red Star. The roo (daddy) looks like a pure BO.

Mustbe something in the Red Stars background for that to happen.
 
That is strange. My BOxRSL crosses they both have white legs. I had heard that white legs are dominant over yellow, but don't know why they would turn out out blue.

They're both really nice birds. Cammi lays big brown legs and monty is a really mellow guy.
