What am I?

I just got a couple hens(?) and was wondering what they are and make sure they really are hens.

This one the person said was a RIR. It is REALLY noisy and I just want to make sure it's a hen...

And this one the owner didn't know what it was, but the wife wanted a black and white one so we got it.

And this one doesn't seem to have trouble eating but I noticed that the beak doesn't line up and I didn't know if this will be a problem in the long run?

Top one looks like a production red hen. The second, I have no idea.
Bottom pic looks like cross beak. Provide deeper feed bowls and such for them to scoop their food and water and that chicken should be just fine.

Great... I had a hamster that had teeth that didn't line up and had to take wire cutters and cut them every few weeks. Don't want to have to do that again.

The second is a Brabanter. (unless Spitzhaubens come in that color, too. . .)

A very rare breed.

Wow. It really does look like it. I got it from a backyarder that has 30 or so chickens in his backyard. This was the only back and white one, looking for a BR, so we took it. $15.

The first one is either a RIR or a NHR, I can't see the markings on the neck. Then again, she could be a Red Sex Link (Production Red, Cinnamon Queen or something like that).

Oh, and I think that is normal for the beak, all three of mine have been like that. Must have some eagle in them!

Huh, She is the easiest for me right now. I brought out a piece of bread to see if I could pet any of them and she was the only one that came up and let me pet her. She does have problems eating. She tried to take a small piece that dropped to the ground and all it did was move all around and she never did get it.

Oh, and I just got them today so I don't know if they are laying eggs. I think so, but I never trust the people that sell me stuff since they are there to sell me stuff and might tell me anything to get me to buy it/them. The seller said that the Red was about a year old so she should.

What color do you think the eggs will be? Red would prob be tan to brown right? but what about the other one? Looks like whitish green vents...

Brabanters lay a white egg, and I think the other one, if she has some black in her hackles too, is a New Hampshire Red and yes, a medium brown colored egg. However, if she is a sex-link of some kind then she will lay even more eggs that the NHR.
Good luck. They both look healthy. And if they were laying, they may drop for a little while until they are comfortable. Sounds like you are doing well so far though in trying to warm up to them.

Ok, I don't know if it's just that the Red is trying to set her place in the pecking order or what, but she is very noisy. I'm afraid the neighbors will complain soon. I can hear her on the other side of the house with all the windows closed. And she talks all day long. I didn't know if it is her breed or just her. I might be able to take her back and switch her for another if you guys think it's just her. Like it says in my tag, I worry to much.
