What am I?

This is my Dominique. It is I think 17 or 18 weeks old. This is my first time with a dominicker. Is it a roo or hen. It hasn't crowed so I'm lost. Plz help.

Looks like a hen to me, especially at that age.

Do you have a side view body shot?

The coloring in the barring would indicate male. So I think it's a roo, just would like a body shot to be 100% sure.

I thought the barring on a Dominique is lighter than on a BR, Happy Chooks. No?

Shoot. I was hoping for a hen. I'll try to take a body pic this afternoon and post it. His tail feathers ain't really that long. What age do they start getting long. And I've notice it looking in the nesting boxes or is that something a young roo. I have seen my rir look in boxes. Bit maybe a body pic will help
