The OP only mentioned Sally the SLW in particular as coming from McMurrays. Maybe some of the others came from somewhere else?

All hens came from McMurry. In fact, they were all hatched on April 29th of this year. This was my first purchase from them too.

Next year I am going to go with a small flock of Golden Comet hybrids.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will contact McMurry tomorrow and see what they say. Maybe they can answer both questions.

My daughter has some Golden Comets now and she really likes them.
