yellow feet, white dot on the back of its head, seems like odd coloring but, sure looks like a barred rock, maybe its a mix of barred rock and rir, I have no idea what the genetics of that would look like.
I looked at some of the other suggestions posted, pics of those chicks dont seem to match it at all.
I still think it might be a fayoumi -but I'm only going on Feathersite's pics and what Ideal has available. It's hard to tell though since chicks can vary so much even within a breed -and from hatchery to hatchery.
What exactly was your order? Did they include any males for warmth, and is it possible this is one of them? My curiousity is peaked!
Yes that is her!
She was not striped or spotted as a chick. But she was red/brown. Did you notice the comb?
There were no males - I hope! (We can't have Cockrels in the city!) We ordered 18 and got 18.
In the order-
Red sex links
RIR
Buff Orpingtons
Wyandotts
Ameracaunas
Norwegian Jearhon
THe only ones I question are the RIR vs the Red Sex link....
All I want is a good egglayer!!!
At our house we have:
Dixie (unkown)
2 Ameracaunas
1 Norwegain Jearhon
That is really gonna change things arend here.....
Wow!!!!
Espen is not going to know what to do! He thought his chicken was the light one and I thought my chicken was the dark one. They are going to have to change names!
His si Miss Norway and mine is Dixie. Chick confusion. Or adult confusion......
