Love the videos! My chickens take hours to lay an egg. Seriously, they will sit in the nesting box for 2 to 3 hours, while the others ignore the open nesting box and pace angrily, waiting their turn.

Got #3 today. So first time layer lays 3 in 3 days? Is that normal o thought after their very first egg they would take a break.

My first layer had almost a week between first and second egg, then had some soft shelled ones. The second one to lay laid one soft shell, then laid an egg every day for two weeks straight before taking a break. I guess they are all different.

23 Weeks Old today. 4 layers out of 10 hens. I think it's the 4 Dominque. Other 6 need to get with the program.
