what an egglayer can't have

So, can I mix pumpkin seeds with yoguart and that will do the trick? Should the pumpkin seeds be hole?

Thanks

Pumpkin seeds/yogurt/buttermilk are more worm preventatives. They will keep alot of worms at bay, but are not necessarily foolproof. The seeds can be whole or chopped up or some of each. Some birds may not eat them, though. One of my hens for seme reason does not eat them-when I feed her scratch with pumpkin seeds, even chopped, she picks around them, so obviously, they won't do her any good. From time to time, you should probably look at their fresh poop to see if you can see any worms. Naturally, you wont be able to see the worm eggs, if there are any.

One of my favorite books is Back To Eden on natural remedies which was written originally in the early 1900's, natural remedies today have seem to go by the wayside but making a come back. We don't feed or expose our chickens to any chemicals or toxins. We use DE and proper sanitation to try and give our chickens a healthy enviroment to live in. Pumpkin seed is taken orally for bladder irritations and intestinal worms. It is thought to be a particularly safe and effective deworming agent,
particularly in children for whom aggressive and toxic preparations are inappropriate.
Traditionally pumpkin seed has been taken to expel intestinal worms with particular effectiveness noted against both tapeworms and roundworms. Early settlers in North America mixed ground pumpkin seeds with water, milk or honey to provide a remedy for worms
