What Animals Creep You Out ? You May Be Surprised at My Answers...

Ew. But OK, I get it. I like bugs, I DONT like the Palo Verde beetle. Once you have something stuck in your hair or try to escape into your mouth....

ANYWAY--If one commits hareycarey in my water dish, I'll dry it out and send it to you. *bleh*

Don't worry about drying it out... they are easier to skewer if still, um, fresh. Yeah, that sounds gross even to me, I am still working on a bit of squeemishness. I handle things with tweezers cuz I dont want their little legs to touch me. But don't tell anyone that, the official story is that they are fragile and I want to be careful with them!

One word: Insects.

Yeah I like insects too, just not the bot fly. My husband once wanted to be an entomologist and has collections and worked at a museum in the bug section for many years. I remember every vacation we went on collecting insects and pinning them. I just really hate bot fly larva they are just soooo gross!

what creeps me out, in no order- adult pigs, june bugs, chow chows, ticks, cats with evil eyes, certain monkeys, slugs, grubs. there is also a huge bug here i think it is called a seven year bug, might be a locust omg do i hate finding them in my gardens when digging covered in egg larvae.

and the tomatoe horn worms r almost as bad but at least they r pretty even though creepy also.

GEESE, any barnyard assortments would give me the jeebies and have to get away from them. For the exception of Canadian geese which I love to watch them and they don't come after you every time you decided to take a walk to the pasture. It would be understandable if they had youngsters with them but just those "watchdogs" would just terrify me! I've gotten pinched so bad by a family friend's geese everytime I went over to see her beautiful palomino horses even she told me that I am welcome anytime. When those geese cornered me, OH NO! PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since then, I never got over it. I was only around 9 to 10 years old.

Also wasps.....gone, goodbye....RUN! Got stung too many times, message taken!

When I started the thread, I was more thinking along the lines of animals, not insects. Heck, I hate ticks and scorpions like most folks. Too many scorpions here--been stung in my bed and regularly have to get them out of the bathroom. Where are my guineas when I need 'em?! I figured that most would wonder why I'm creeped out by the bright, neon colored pheasants and widdle bunny-wabbits.

I am not a big fan of crawly things with multiple legs: spiders, centipedes, millipedes, etc. I'm not a big fan of earwigs, either. ::shudder::

I'm not a dog person. I can't stand yappy dogs that won't let up their barking...and I don't like dogs that lick my feet. Gross!

Apes are really creepy to me, but I like the smaller monkeys with long tails. Chimps are probably the freakiest.

What so freaky about apes? A mirror image of us????? Or is it their eyes, fingers and feet? That is th eonly thing I can think of is they do look like us in a way even to the DNA structure which it is one or two chromos. off. Maybe that is why some folks like to own monkeys. Right now Illinois is going thru the debate whether to let IL citizens own chimps or related cousins.
