What are ALL the chicken Colors?!? (UPDATE!!!)

Good luck there. I read that Seramas have over 2500 documented color variations. We make up names for most of them!

True, Serama have a lot of colors, but still most of these are just derived from the ones I mentioned.

I see that Dun has been left out. If you have platinum, think you must also have dun and khaki

Chocolate is the variety name for a single dose of the dun gene; of course it is also the variety name for a double dose of the choc gene

Many of the varieties have different names in different breeds or different parts of the world. And some variety names have more than one definition.

Genetically different; in appearance pretty similar. I am told that there are slight differences in appearance, but I've never seen the birds side by side to actually compare. Either would meet the standard for the variety named chocolate.
