Can anyone help with identifying my chickens?

We THOUGHT we bought 4 pullets- our first chickens! We have definitely decided the barred chicken is a rooster - "she" is crowing and everything. I love it, my hub grumbles. The pictures are from the end of June, so the roo's comb is much bigger now.

Can anyone tell if the Roo is a Barred Rock or Holland. I read about ear colors, but I can't tell what color his ears are.

And I have no idea on the hens - can anyone tell me what breed? They look most like Wyandottes to me, but I have looked through so many pictures and none look just like our hens.

Thanks for helping out a newbie!

BEAUTIFUL Barred Rock roo.

And some nice Silver Laced Wyandotte mixes.

OH, I forgot.

WELCOME TO BYC!

We are so glad you are here!

The rooster is a Barred Rock. I don't know about the hens. I am sure there are other people here that can answer the breed qusetion about the hens.

I have to agree. Barred Plymouth Rock cockerel and the hens are Silver-Laced Wyandottes. Hatchery stock very rarely ever matches the standard for the breed.
