If they are males (which I think most of them are) we will butcher them in the fall. I HATE butchering my chickens, but thats what their for, right? I tell myself that they had a great life doing what a chicken is supposed to do. They free range all day long and are only locked up at night. We dont have a predetor problem. The momma is from my favorite sliver laced cochin hen that was very determined to hatch a brood last year. She has been a very good mother and is very proud of her babies. I put them under her so I wouldn't get attached to them!
Thanks for all the ideas on breeds. I will go check out the breeds to see which they fit the best. I was thinking golden comets or some other sex link too, though I've never heard of the cinnamen queen. Can't wait to see what they turn into
