How about the color topaz? It's a lighter shade of Buff with black down, & partridge based.
Here's a Buff Orpington for comparison.
The lighting wasn't too great for topaz's photo.

Oh god I just started four sentences in a row with 'I think' all of my english classes are down the drain.Oh 100% agree.
The boys get nice dark shiny feathers.
Huge difference actually.
I much prefer the cockerels.
Hatchery Orps are something else.
That color is super cool. I like how it's more on the brown side of orange, and the black accents make it look really nice. How about the color topaz? Mille fleur is beautiful as well! I haven't raised chicks but I wouldn't know about chick colors, but I think that chipmunk chicks are adorable.I love little black and white chicks and grey ones so I've ended up with mostly that color in my flock lol but I really love mille fleur. I have a couple cochins in that color and theyer so pretty. Idk what you call a flower hen but I love their coloring too!
My white silkies stay cleaner then solid feathered birds surprisingly.I'd agree on solid white birds. I probably wouldn't want a white silkie especially, for that reason. My white leghorn is also the best dustbather, and she always looks a bit dirty.
Oh, really? I guess that makes sense, it's probably harder for the dirt to stick. My white silkies stay cleaner then solid feathered birds surprisingly.
