What are people's chicken color preferences?

Interesting preferences -- fun to see who likes what. I like -- and have -- a bit of everything. But I love the look of a barred feather. I have a barred Cochin Bantam, and one of my original hens was a Barred Rock. Hmmm, wonder what it means that I like things that are black and white?

I do like the barred look as well. I might be biased against that because of it's difficulty to draw as well I'd love to have a larger flock with lots of colors and patterns so I can collect them all.

I don't know about you, but when I'm looking at chickens I definitely prefer some colors over others. I think that I might be alone in not liking the color buff: everyone else seems to like it but I just don't really like the orangey color. Same goes with dogs and cats, I'd rather have a not orange one over an orange one. I really like the colors white, blue, and lavender, and I also really like chickens with black and white color patterns, like delawares and light brahmas. Close runner up for me is splash pattern, especially when it's black and white splash.

I love blue, lavender, and spangled especially jubilee Orpingtons.

Usually it's tripping over a stick, or another birds foot. It doesn't happen very often.

I love love love the color black on chickens! It produces a luminescent green shine when the sun hits them to!

Oooooooooh! I do like that pretty iridescence. I think that I like the look better when it's an ayam cemani or a sumatra though, without the red face.

Omg if mine get mud on their head I just crack up laughing. They look so funny when their little poofs are all messed up. But you're right for some reason i never notice theyer dirty the next day..

They like to stay pretty.

I love crele.
I actually don't like the colour buff very much. I hate orange, and they're rather close to that for my liking.
I like it because they're chickens. And I have a loyalty to Buff Orps. What can I say.
I also like partridge patterns.

Mille fleur is beautiful as well! I haven't raised chicks but I wouldn't know about chick colors, but I think that chipmunk chicks are adorable.

I didn’t think of Mille Fleur either I’m really trying to rember colors but I can’t I like Mille Fleur though.
