What are Production blues... and what lead to this question.

I have two and they lay light brown eggs. Two of my nicest girls out of my whole flock

Wow, I feel sorry for you.

Glad to hear! I'll definitely add these to my list of possible choices. I'm still deciding whether I'm going to get the chicks from this feed store, or wait till the quarantine is over to get the ones I really want.

I'm sad to say my girl smokey passed away last night. Would yall recomend getting an Autopsy done since have no clue wht happened?

Yes, double bag and refrigerate, don't freeze. I think @Wyorp Rock can tell you where to send the body.
@Bergerbums I'm sorry about your hen.
You can send the body to your lab for further investigation. Here's a link to the Texas state lab system (I think there are 4 branches). It would be a good idea to call them if you find their site hard to navigate. They should be able to give you details of shipping, fees, etc. If you do find out what happened, post the results - it can be educational for us all.

The Blue Sapphire Plymouth Rocks that my daughter just ordered from Jenks hatchery in Salem, OR are described as "A proprietary high production cross of a native Andalusian male and a Plymouth Barred Rock female" and these lay brown eggs as shown. (She lives in OR)
I am looking forward to seeing them next month...and helping her build a coop!
