What are some chick treats?

I want my babies to be used to treat process when they go outside, so what are treats I can give them while they’re young? The smallest get crushed up mealworms the olders get normal mealworms but I want to give them more options as treats… my olders are two 4 weeks and 6-8 weeks the youngers are around 4 days old

They’re too cute! I introduce millet seeds and small blueberries in a very controlled amount

Are millet seeds sold at grocery stores or feed stores? I’ve never heard of those. We do have stuff like flax seed as well

I mix a bit of their regular feed with water to make a mash. They love it.

The best way to treat young chicks is to only feed them the high protein crumbles. Add water to mash or not. It's exactly what they need and does not require grit to digest. Any other food items will require grit and not be as good for them. It's counter productive to their growth. Once outside they get stones from the ground and can have other food stuff in moderation.

Not always the case. The rock composition here is not a good source of grit.
