What are some good ways to keep preditors from digging in?

Other than putting mesh on the bottom, are there any really effective ways of burrow proofing your coup? Do you think putting stones around the edges would be any help at all? It does wound like a somewhat puny effort tnow that I think of it.
 
Did you mean putting mesh on the inside bottom or outside? I am putting mesh around the out side leaving about 2-3 ft laying on the ground. I guess this works for some people. We'll see how it goes.
 
When we built our coops we placed wire cloth at the bottom of the fence and turned it outward away from the fence. There is about 1-2 feet of wire buried just below the surface so that anything that digs will hit wire instead of dirt and easy access to the pin.

Laying wire around the outside is much cheaper and easier​
 
wire floors covered with dirt, cement floors and wood floors...one of my hen houses has a cement floor, the run is wire bottom with dirt on top so the chickens can still take dust baths, the other one has a wooden floor and again the run has a wire floor...
