What are some of your favorite song artists?

That is a hard one for me. I would say Aurora, because her music gives me goosebumps, and the lyrics and vocals are just beautiful.
Melanie martinez, I just like the sound of her music and the lyrics. Billie eilish, same thing as with Melanie. And then I like listening to shakira.
I listen to a lot of music so i am sure i could come up with way more than that but i can't remember the names of them.

I'm going to sound really old here.
While there are some modern artists that are quite talented, for the most part it doesn't compare to the era prior to the advent of auto tune and this time when the most promoted songs were written by the same 3 individuals for today's top acts.
The creativity and musicianship of the period from the mid-60s to the mid-80s is far superior. Drum machines and computers aren't music.
Check out some possible rabbit holes to go down:
Beatles, Queen, Grand Funk Railroad, Janis Joplin, Rory Gallagher, Bob Marley, Santana, Jimi Hendrix and so many more. Any of them are a treat to listen to live. Most modern 'pop' acts can't compare when performing live.
As I said, there are exceptions like acapella sensation Pentatonix and rocker Jasmine Star.
To be entirely honest, there is lots of good new music, but it isn't the pop music that is constantly aired on the radio.

A somewhat similar thread.

This explains my rant/position about the music industry better than I can.
It actually scientifically explores and proves the point.

Same thing with an astute reaction.

While the whole thing is very pertinent to my argument, starting at the 12:50 mark will explain how the bulk of pop hits comes from just 2 songwriters.
Don't avoid the scientific evidence that comes before that excerpt.

Same here I listen too a lot of 80s and 90s rock. As well as a lot of classical music, another song artist that I like to listen too is rammstein. And the song Du hast that they performed live in paris leaves me speechless you just have to watch it to really understand.
I also listen to Peter gundry he composes music that is "classical" I am not sure if that is the correct term for his music right now. I really enjoy listening to Queen, as well as pink floyd. And a song that I like a lot is "I just died in your arms" from cutting crew.

Yeah, beethoven is the best.
I listen to the Eagles every now and then. I know a few of kansas's songs. I don't really know who the other people that you mentioned are though
Carole King uber-uber hits include You've Got A Friend and It's Too Late. And lots of other good stuff. Her album, Tapestry, was HUGE in 1971. Ok, I'm old.

Dan Fogelberg wrote Run For The Roses and Leader Of The Band. And lots of other good stuff.

As an example of music that has never been seen since the 60s and early 70s, check this reaction from the Soul Train Bro highlighting 4 disparate live recordings by the original queen of rock/blues. A member of the 27 club. Performers gone too soon. Imagine what her catalog would have contained if she hadn't died so young.
While they are all good, I especially love the third selection -Little Girl Blue.
