What are the Breeds you can't live without?

Uh oh ..do you have a naughty salmon ?
Why yes, yes I do.
I am building a new coop and run in the flocks 1/4 acre pen. He is objecting quite adamantly against my use of any and all power and hand tools.
However, I am allowed paint. Painting is considered a quiet enough endeavor in his territory.

I have been very happy with my flock selection, except the extra Cockerels I ended up with but they are awesome too. My flock are:
Easter Eggers
Light Brahma
Barred Rock
Blue Rocks
And 5 silkie chicks.
I have 4 new breeds coming at the end of the month.
I would like to try polish in with my silkies.

I love all my feather babies I started off with 2 leghorns 2 barred rocks and 2 rhode islands. Out of my first 6 I still have my white leghorn snow and Rhoda my Rhode. I expanded my breeds with buff orphingtons a lavender orphington purchased me a few more barred rocks I named one Ginger because she likes to fly over privacy fence lay an egg by my front porch and go to neighbors and lay an egg for them as well lol then she comes home lays another by my porch and heads into the coop for the night lol. I have 3 creamed colored wyndottes 2 white crested top polish and a buff lace polish 4 sapphire gems 2 are broody as we speak lol Isa browns and black sexlinks and 5 partridge silkies a yellow bearded silkie that's broody also and a black roo silkie. Also a splash americauna rooster which ia my husband's boy lol sir greystoke lol amber links Elsa and Anna 1 golden lace wyndotte Tangerina jo Lee lol and 3 Easter eggers. Hubby loves our roos he claims that those are his and the rest are mine lol Hubby wants a Tolbunt orphinghton and polish also they seem so hard to find on a mission to find the breed he wants and hopefully suprise him for fathers day. Another breed on my list is Sussex I love their colors and blue Andalusia
Are you saying your hen lays three eggs a day?

Are you saying your hen lays three eggs a day?
I get about 5 and ahalf dozen a day so I guess I'm doing something right. Love all my feather babies I'll post some pics of my babies I especially love my australorps love their personalities I only got 2 but they love being vocal and loving on my hubby and me

My must have are:
Pekins they just have so much personality
Bantam bramhas I just purchased 9 off heat not fully feathered straight run to hopefully get some hens to breed with my current 2 bantam bramhas rooster wont be a prob to get cause they are always buyers for them
My musco is they are my broody champs I have 2 black and white 3 brown and white ducks and a huge black and white drake any they are on there 12th brood between them
But I wont lie I take the young off them just as they hatch cause bantams and chicks in general dont get along with thos big webbed feet
And my Indian runners they are my newest fave I font know how I went so lo g without them I'm finding it hard to get them to mate but I'm going to make them there own little place just for them in the next few days/weeks depending on weather and school ect

Birds I really want is silkies I know a guy who sells bantam silkie eggs but I dont have the space atm with all the young birds running around and I have a show coming up in a bit so I'm trying to train my birds to be calmer in cages and to get them to clean up as they seem to enjoy rooling around in the dirt rather than the sand baths lol

Nice! How many hens do you have?
5 roos 1 americauna 2 partridge silkies born Nov 11 1 buckeye named hawkley and my crested top polish named devilin and 1 black silkie roo named Vader. I probably have about 40 hens. Hubby wants me to get rid of partridge roos but I am telling him that I will compromise with one lol
