What are the differences in taste, texture, recipe-readiness among eggs, please, especially chicken vs duck?

When talking taste, take in mind its very subjective, and different for most of us.

For me, I prefer duck eggs over chicken eggs. We do raise both together here (which I'd recommend, it's just awesome). I find the duck eggs to simply have more flavor. The flavor is just like a chicken egg, but more concentrated, just a little though. Some people find it very gamy, but I find it to just be a more flavorful egg in general.

Texture to me is almost identical. Duck might be a bit fluffier. I can tell the extra fluffiness most when doing scrambled duck eggs. No need to cut in milk or anything, just naturally fluffy. That's about it though. Raw they are the same to me.

Ducks have a larger yolk, so the white:yolk is a little less.

In regards to recipes, I'd say it's right down the middle. Anything you can do with a chicken egg can be substituted for duck eggs. One place the duck egg shines over the chicken is with baking. Duck eggs are superior when it comes to baking.

Best of luck making your decision. :)
