I'm curious to know how may different color variations silkies come in and the nams of the different color variations. I know they come in buff, white, ad black, but are there others?

Naturally.. there's blue, lavender, paint, partridge, blue partridge, cuckoo and more for starters..

Grey in Silkies is Silver Partridge.. not all colors are accepted to the standard and are considered project colors.

Not sure if anyone is offering them in Porcelain.

Hope this helps give you some ideas.. if you can dream it, you can do it! :)

ETA: there may be many in other countries I haven't seen yet as with may large fowl varieties..

Post a photo of the one you're trying to figure out.

Another color I have seen in Silkies is chocolate.

Anything that cannot be identified but still Silkie may be a cross of those colors.. white can hide many things underneath. Are you in the US or elsewhere?

can't post pics right now, but i can describe her and give a pic later. she is light cream as a base, has lighter and darker cream colors throught as well as what looks like a little wite.

Sounds lovely.. reminds me of one other color I've heard of.. Calico. I'm clueless about what it is though. and there may also be a red paint or red pyle. Tag me when you post the pic later, I'm curious! :pop

Does sound like a base color with leakage essentially. :)

i will try to remember to.

Porcelain is also called Blue Cream in Silkies. it doesn't look like Porcelain in any other breed. The closest thing I could describe it as would be similar to a Buff Columbian (like a Buff Brahma) where the black in the hackles, etc. has been replaced with a smoky blue/lavender color. I have a little cockerel at home currently that needs a girlfriend or three.
