What are the odds..? ordering SR bantams from MPC

So.. tell me my odds here.. I'm taking a risk and getting 11 straight run bantams from My Pet Chicken.. It works out $$ wise to do this.. with the shipping package and the extra ($5 each! ) if I want sexed pullets..

So..

what are my odds here of getting..
all males??
mostly males??
mostly females??


Also.. how likely will I get mostly silkies.. something I really hope doesn't happen.. I've heard they are not that hardy.. :|

I'm ok with whatever happens..c'est la vie..I just really want some bantams and this seems the only way to get them....

It's pretty much the luck of the draw. I've ordered straight run and had way more pullets than roosters, while other people have had almost all roosters.

Cross your fingers and hope for the best!

I've ordered from other hatcheries and it seems like the 50/50 rule holds up. Don't be afraid of the silkies!!! We have them in WI and they are very hardy, affectionate, and make great moms in hatching their own eggs and other eggs. Some just need a little more protection from preditors due to their fluffy tops and lack of vision around it. Not to bright on rainy days though. Good luck with the chicks!!
