I got these from the local feed store along with 15 other chicks. These 2 were labeled as bantam hens but that is all that I know.

The first two are the same chick and the last two are the same chick.

Thanks

The first one might be a Langshan or Cochin (has sparser leg feathering than I'm used to seeing with Cochins) and looks like a cockerel.

The second one looks like a Buff Cochin and I don't rightly know about the sex.

Yep- The cochin I have bought at the feed store are usually have much less leg feathering than breeders cochins.

Thanks for your replies. Looks like I have some research on Cochins and see what they are. These are my first ones so I want to make sure they are happy.

They look just like the bantam Cochins I got at my feedstore last year. They sure are fun. My one rooster is the boss over a big Buff Orp. roo. It's so funny.

The first is a black cochin - not a blue, not a langshan.

Im guessing the second one is a buff cochin.

I have absolutely no clue about the sex. ^_^
