What are these?

Please someone correct me if i'm wrong....that chipmunk like chick looks just like my Welsummer I just hatched and I researched the Welsummer and you can tell at birth which sex by the color. You have a hen in that photo according to what I found...the males are silvery colored. Someone, please confirm or clue me in?

I was thinking EE's, but they have bright yellow legs.
Here is a pic of Welsummer chicks from feathersite.com:

If they are indeed Welsummers,I'll be looking to give away some roos in a couple of months. I already have WAY too many roos.

All the brown, chipmunky chicks have yellow legs. They are from Welp. Some of them came with marked heads, but the marking has worn off all but 1 of them.

Given Mark's comment, The marked one (the first picture) must then be the Speckled Sussex and the other a Welsummer. I am beginning to notice some difference in the wing markings as they feather out futher. Not that it really matters which is which at this juncture, just curious I guess.

I have three each of the Welsummers and SS. The SS are a darker brown than the Welsummers. They are like chocolate compared to the Welsummer's caramel color.

So, do Welsummer roos pass the really dark eggs gene to hens who aren't Welsummer? LOL.

Anyways, glad to see you got it figured out, Portia. Did you get any roos? Do you want any?
