What are these?

Anyone have any idea what breed or gender these are? They were supposed to be three Rhode Island Reds, but clearly weren't all three RIRs when I opened the box. They are a few days shy of six weeks. All 3 of them are supposed to be six weeks old on Monday.







Those were the white one. These are the two red or redish ones. The one in the first picture has no white feathers, but the one in the back does have some white feathers.





The red one with no white feathers. He seems to be getting lighter as he gets older.

I'd say that your 2 RIR's are rooster and the white one is a Leghorn pullet.

Looks like they are white rocks and RIRs. The RIRs are defiantly males The white rocks are females.

Thanks. I thought the white one might be a White Rock or White EE, and the darker red one a RIR, but wasn't sure on the smaller red one. The smaller one has quite a few white feathers mixed in with the red, a lot when it opens its wings. Can RIRs have white feathers like that?

Instead of a White Rock, I'm wondering if it might be a Rhode Island White (at least the name confusion might explain the mistake). Who did you purchase them? Do they breed Rhode Island Whtes?

The people I got them from said they had the three RIR's, some Ameraucanas, and two light Brahmas. I bought the three RIRs and the pair of six months old light Brahmas. They had more then that though, those were just what they had at that time. I have even wondered if it was a light Brahma, but it has no black feathers. I have wondered about a lot of things trying to figure it out...lol

I don't think they're sex links; at least not the typical Red Sex Links. If they were, the reddish colored ones would be pullets and should be showing quite a bit of white in their tails. I agree with you though that the reddish ones are looking like Production Reds rather than Rhode Island Reds.

The smaller red one does have quite a bit of white in its tail feathers, but only on one side. Sorry, i didnt think about that when I took the picture. There other one has no white anywhere.
