My daughter brought a book called "On the Farm" home from the school library today. What's up with this page?

..and brown cows give chocolate milk!

and... lets see... and hens-no wait... ROOSTERS only lay white eggs, and green, brown, and blue eggs are made by means of magic marker!

Hahaha... When my oldest son went to a new school in Kindergarten, they sent home a paper 'write-up' sorta thing, saying he was being a smart-alec. In class that day the teacher was doing a lesson and kept talking about the hen building a nest high up in the tree.My son kept telling the teacher she was wrong. She finally wrote him up without letting him speak. I asked him what happened and he said the teacher kept saying the hen makes a nest high up in the tree for her eggs, but I tried to tell her she was wrong. Hens don't make nests in the trees, they use boxes. Birds have nests in trees, but she wouldnt listen and fussed at me.

EE lover:) :

i'll bet the author thinks roosters lay eggs and bulls make milk, too!

It's your turn to milk the bull - I'm not doing it ever again!!! lol

Actually, some dairy bucks produce milk, you couldn't pay me enough to drink it, tho. Since dairy bucks can do that, is it possible that a dairy bull from an excellent milk producing line do that?

and, I had a hen that crowed and laid eggs. What's the world coming to?
