So sorry for your loss, Jamie. I am getting up there in age and I have talked to my dh about this very thing. How hard it would be to lose your best friend for so many years. so sad.
I have what is known as Impossible Pie in the oven right now. I think it goes by many names...coconut custard pie that makes it's own crust? We love it.

My bread machine is mixing our bread dough. Going to make fresh bread today

and going to make some for chilli tomorrow. yummy!!

I fixed the Old Fashion Pound Cake with the 1/4 c. cocoa and it was just fabulous! It is now my favorite pound cake recipe. Easy, always have the ingredients around, and foolproof.

Nothing....I'm on a diet and I HATE IT!!! I miss warm bread with butter and banana bread with walnuts. Oh well I'm off to nuke a lean cusine....

Take up dancing instead. My DH and I have been dancing 2 times a week for the last couple of months and my pants are barely staying up on me. Time to get my old ones out of storage.

I hate dieting and refuse to do it. Every time I tell myself I can't have something, I want it 100x more! Dancing is great for us because we both love it so it dosn't feel like exercise.
If you don't have a partner to dance with, check out line dance classes. They have them at our local senior center for free! I'm not quite old enough but they don't ask for I.D.

My ovens got a workout today. I made a pan of lasagna but DD was even busier. She made Tandycake, a pumpkin roll, and some soft pretzel balls. I'm like

to her.

She is such a baking queen.
