What are you baking now?

two batches of biscotti. A friend wanted some as she says hers always is hard as a rock so I made her some and dh had to have some. Of course these are loaded with almonds, pecans, craisins, white chocolate chips and chocolate chips. I use lots of almond flavoring as it is a flavor that I love in cookies. Then dh wanted them dipped in chocolate. I love them without being dipped but dipped is nice

I've made rhubarb/strawberry crisp 2 nights in a row. The strawberries make a nice sauce.

Congratulations Robin'sBrood on your new little bundle of joy!!!

KimN_C Tell me more about "feeding" the sourdough. Last weekend I stirred in the liquid and took 1/2 cup out, dumped it and replaced with a 1/2 cup each of flour and water. I then let it sit on the counter for the rest of the afternoon. Is that what I'm suppose to do? I hate to waste it by dumping it but I had no recipe or time to make bread.

Sandee

I would LOVE to get my hands on a sourdough start.... or learn to make it... any tips? I'm listening to this convo too..

Drew, I would give you some to get your own mother sponge going. Mine is finally starting to get lively. If you go to Chickenstock, I'll bring you some.

edited to say, sorry I dragged a post from so long ago, but I wasn't sure if Drew got her answer.
