That pie was killing DH & I too. We ate HALF of it last night. LOL I won't be allowed to bake another. We'll gain back the weight we've lost.

Better make yogurt and put fresh cherries in it for next time.

I am going to bake a white cake
with bluberries between.the layers
and strawberries on top.

Are those leaves with grapes/cherries you made on the top crust? Very nice.

I put a little too many blueberries in mine and didn't use the deep dish pie pan so of course the filling bubbled over and made a nice mess

I didn't want to post a picture of mine - tasted good though. But I'm still scraping the burnt mess out of the oven. I HATE when that happens

Thanks, Jen4

Oh, I messed up too and feel your pain! I always bake pies on a jelly roll pan lined with foil. Then if anything bakes over I can just lift the foil and throw away the gooey or burnt mess. HOWEVER, yesterday I forgot the foil. Sure enough it cooked over and burnt to the jelly roll pan. So I had a big mess to soak off of that pan today. Urgh! Have kicked myself a least 5 times.

Sorry about your oven.

ETA: Yes, I made a little 'branch of cherries' from the trimmings of the top crust . I always do that when I make fruit pies - if it's apples or peaches I just make them bigger (and make a crease for the peach-look). Thanks for noticing

Today I am baking scones, and probably try again at bread and pizza dough. You know what they say, try try and try again!
