What are you baking now?

I'm gonna make a Ham, roast beef, cheese roll up with gumpsgirl bread

I also mixed up the last of our frozen wildberries and some strawberries for shortcakes again tonight... soooo glad I got a 4 mile workout in today!

Thank you for the replies! Grandma's vita mix is the ticket! Look on line for a book for it. I have a friend who just about lives off of soup and would never live with out hers.
I think I will just keep my eye peel for the tool that 'speaks' to me.
Although, thrift stores are not the deal they used to be... and new gets you a warranty...
I am liking more and more the idea of a stick and a big rock.

Well, the recipe from the back of the flour bag was OK. Not the right pizza dough but made really great cinnamon rolls. But then again put enough sugar on anything and it'll taste good.

Made some hamburger buns and bread this weekend and those wonderful Banana Muffins. Fortunately, Trader Joe's had some ripe bananas so we didn't have to wait to make them.

Have not heard much about the "Magic Bullet" that people were discussing. Anyone who can give me some insight into it would be appreciated. They have them at our Costco for $45.00. It that a good price? What do you use it for? I'm always looking for the next kitchen gadget.

Thanks

Sandee

My fiance uses his Magic Bullet for smoothies and protein shakes, stuff like that. Unfortunately, he also uses it to make leek dip and I HATE leek dip. Actually, he uses it for alot of things, he'll even stick a bunch of eggs in there to mix up the eggs for scrambled eggs. I'm sure there's a million uses for it. $45 dollars seems like a good price to me because when he bought his it was like $55 or $60, but that was a couple year ago so the price may even be lower in other places.

Amish friendship bread. Someone gave me a starter and it was time to bake it. It is delicious but I'm still not sure it's worth all the effort of babysitting it for 10 days. Anyone know if you can freeze the starter or what to do with it when you're going on vacation?

You can freeze it. I do it all the time when I get tired of making them for the markets or have a stock pile. The day you get it out to thaw and start over is Day 1

Not fair, just plain not fair, to tease me so early in the morning with fresh baked Blueberry muffins. They look divine!!

Sandee

Oh sorry but thank you Sandee they were pretty good too.....I doubled the recipe so I had several so I froze a few cause everyone got tired of them. I must have missed this. I was just looking back at something and noticed your post.
