I use puff pastry sheets to make apple pastries. I think I'll modify that recipe and try putting an apple slice in a little muffin cup with the pastry and see how they turn out.

Oh these would be great with some apple!

Thank you Arabianequine and OutInTheStiks!!! I'm torn now! I love Honey Twists and Honey Roses! They both describe them very well and are cute and easy to remember names! Which do I use?!!

Ok, Honey Roses it is. Thanks everybody!!!

Made a peach cake last night. Peaches seem to be very good this year. No matter where I buy them, they are juicy and delicious! I should look for a case to do some canning with too....

I made a chocolate pound cake using new oven and new tube pan. Turned out wonderful.Looked like a chrysanthemum.

2c sugar
2c all purpose flour
1 1/2 sticks butter
2 tbsp cocoa
pinch salt
1/4c evap milk (sm can)
4 eggs

Add and beat in order. (The longer you beat the better it is) Spray pan with non-stick spray. I used a decorative cast iron pan, but you can use any tube cake pan. Cook at 325 for 1 hr.Turn upside down on rack to cool for 10 min then remove pan. No icing needed.
