What are you baking now?

Those look yummy---where do you buy them? I haven't noticed those in the grocery store. They kinda look like candy called orange slices but covered with powdered sugar instead of regular sugar.

Turkish delights are a lot like Fruit Gems that Wonka puts out. I learned to like turkish delights when I was in Germany, my landlord loved to eat them, alot like a jellied gem, not candy, more fruity than candy is. I forgot to add that Cadbury also makes some called Fruit delights, also like the Turkish Delights.

turkish delight is a kind of soft candy, with different flavors. it is made of a thick syrup, thickened with cornstarch and added some flavors. in romania you can find it in every store you get in, but over there, i think you should try to oriental stores, turkish or arabesque.
edit: i have the recipe, if you want it. i don't have pictures, tho.

Hubby begged me to make his fave breakfast ........it is a crustless quiche - that makes it's own crust

I 'tweak' the recipe a bit - - add veggies and whatever I have in the fridge for meat and cheese

this one I added broccoli - tomato - onion - bacon and upped the eggs to 6 .......I use pancake mix instead of the flour and omit the butter...

I really liked this one

BLACK RUSSIAN CAKE

Preheat oven to 350° Spray a bundt pan (or I think an angelfood pan would work) with Pam and dust with flour or use Baker's Joy (has flour in the spray)

Ingredients
1 package plain yellow cake mix (I can't remember your altitude but, if needed, add extra flour and/or water as the cake mix directs for high altitude)
1 large package (5.9 oz) chocolate instant pudding mix
1 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
4 large eggs
1/4 cup Kahlua
1/4 cup vodka

Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar (sifted to get rid of lumps)
1/4 cup Kahlua

Directions
Put all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat at slow speed for 1 minute. Scrape sides of bowl with rubber spatula. Increase speed to medium and mix about 2 minutes more--scraping as needed. Pour batter into pan and place in pre-heated oven for 60-65 minutes until it begins to pull away from sides of pan and springs back when touched.
Cool on a rack for 20 minutes, remove from pan by inverting onto plate. Cool 20 minutes more.
Mix glaze until smooth and drizzle over cake so it is absorbed. (I used a plastic pastry brush to brush it on)
Keeps at room temperature (wrapped in foil or plastic) for 1 week. Can be frozen (wrapped in foil) for 6 months.
