I've been wanting to plant a few apple trees on my property. Do you know how long it takes before you actually get apples?

(Apple pie sounds delicious! It's alot of work though, but worth it!)

My Golden Delicious produced a small amount of apples in it's 5th year. My Arkansas Black Spur Apple tree is 6 years old now and still hasn't produced anything. Apples are very slow maturing. I planted mine bare root, so they were young trees. You can get apples sooner if you plant one from a pot that's already 2-3 years old.

Thanks so much for answering that question. These are pretty big apples trees here. I just moved into this house about 1.5 years ago. My neighbor is the one who planted them It use to be his land and he sold it.

WASTE NOT, WANT NOT . ..

What to do with all these excess eggs my girls are laying? That is the question that sent being search the world wide web for receipes.
I found a delightful egg bread receipe that used 6 egg yolks and 3 whole eggs.

I felt really bad throwing away those egg whites.... Now, I know what to do with those....

ANgel food cake!
