Wet wet wet here... and chilly here too, today. But anything above 40 this time of year means planting, tilling, disking, amendments, trees, fixing fencing, mucking out, scrubbing off......

Dh bought me a giant wood fired oven for outside, so breads, pizza, pretzels, and pita have been taking up my days, when it's not too windy.

Eggs are on hold here until the middle of June thanks to tetra vet10.

i know they're not fancy or anything but i'm making rediculously delicious rice crispie treats for my sons birthday to bring to school. they're one of my guilty pleasures. i put extra marshmellows in after folding in the cereal, mix in mini m&m's, white chocolate chips, sprinkles, and top with a white chocolate drizzle.

I think I have only made Rice Krispy Treats twice in my life. I love them and tend to eat too many when I do. Also, DH and I compete in the consumption of them.

When I was young, my baby sister (6 years younger)always made the Rice Krispy treats, my younger sister (5 years younger) made cookies and I made the cakes and pies. The older two girls always seemed to be too busy to bake sweets. Dad has a sweet tooth and has to have dessert with supper.

My husband has an aversion to quiet food. He won't eat a marshmallow unless it is wrapped around Rice Krispies.

Haha that's awesome. Now that i think about it though, i think i have the same affliction. I prefer all of my food wrapped in breading and then fried.
