What are you canning now?

Quote: LOL, not eat THAT much ice cream?????? I looked at your location, and thought WTH. . . . .New Englanders eat most of the ice Cream in the US, and figured that included NY too!!!

Good quote!!! At our age, there is no quitting and no surrender. . . . AND we have the knowledge to find a work around. Bet you can still can that batch to hold it over a couple years to reduce the chance of rolling up to your comp uter. Totally understand. I have pretty much removed sugar from my diet so the traditional jams and jellies are off limits. Grew up on wild Main blueberrry jam. . . . one bite will put me back on the road to "rollingup to my ' puter" lol

I've read about the ice cream topping thing. I can not eat this MUCH ice cream.

Well I could but then I'd have to "roll" up the computer rather than walk.

I'm going to dump it and try to get a better set. I followed the recipe with the exception of the liquid Sure Jell.

Never give up, never surrender.................

That's right @rancher hicks , show that jelly who's boss!

Those are some fine looking cukes @Peep_Show ! Good luck with your pickles.

Another 9 quarts of pickles - bread and butter this time

6 of dill pickled green beans

And 3 -4 ounce jars of mixed jalapeño and sweet banana pepper rings.

That's 24 quarts of pickles and the vine is still giving. I might have to start looking for unlocked car doors at the supermarket! LOL.

The tomatoes are picking up, so I'll start small batch canning those as they come in. THink I'll manage three quarts tomorrow.
