What are you drinking?

I've been looking for some recipes for making flavored alcohol drinks with Everclear. Apple Pie and peach are all I can find. Any help?

Edited to add; I don't see where people are from on my phone. Where in NY are you from? Rural Delaware County here, 'foothills of the Catskills' mountain's. You should check out;https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/231485/ny-chicken-lover
about the only NY thread I've found active. Most of them way up north past Syracuse or above the Adirondack Mountains area though, couple near Lake George near Vermont also, one near me in Delhi and has her own website selling Bielefelders, Swedish Flowers, and her own 'Easter Eggers' she calls "Catskill Homesteader Chickens"

Absinthe, three to one water to the absinthe, slightly chilled. Prefer Kubler. When that is in short supply, a good bourbon whiskey, like Bulliet. As for beer, if it's cold, or free, I'll take it. Nephew works at Sierra Nevada brewery, so I'm in good.

Never tried absinthe, have always wanted to after watching episode of 'Thirsty Traveler' who did a episode on the 'green fairy'. He works for Food Network now, Kevin Brauch the floor reporter on 'Iron Chef'. We have a small 'artesian distillery' in the town I work 'Delaware Phoenix Distillery' that distills absinthe, also some whiskeys. She makes three kinds of absinthe 'Meadow of Love' 'Walton Waters' and 'Blues Cat'. I haven't tried any yet because it is so darn expensive! But I will someday, maybe on my birthday

Do NOT try melting a burning sugar cube into the mix. That's just for theatrics. True Absinthe drinkers sip it slowly...allow the ice-cold water to form lovely patterns of oil in the absinthe, dripping the water in very slowly...it releases the flavors of the anise and various ingredients. You are NOT going to see Green Fairies...maybe a pink elephant the next morning. Absinthe keeps the mind fairly clear, but the body goes first. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, do your taxes, sculpt, handle sharp instruments, type an e-mail to your significant other, or engage in arguments with guys twice your size while enjoying Absinthe..

@Oliver Douglas
Lol, will do and will not do Lol.
I was just on the Delaware Phoenix Distillery website and that is the first thing she says, do not burn the sugar cube. On the episode of thirsty traveler he was in a different country, don't remember, but they had a setup that ran a fine slow stream of absinthe and water through the sugar cube on a slotted spoon and into a glass, and it turned green, I think that's where they got the term 'green fairy'. Will have to try someday soon.

thanks for the link, Beercan.
I am in Sullivan County--near Bethel. We drive your way all the time--love Brooks in Oneonta!

Brooks was featured on food network. A show Rachel Ray used to do, $40 a day or something. She had a hotdog at the Cooperstown baseball hall of fame game, and then flipped some chicken on Brooks's outside pit. And wrapped the show up with a tour of the Ommegang brewery where she sampled all their Belgian style beers and sampled cheese made with their beer by 'Harpersfield Cheese'. I've been to that farm, Brovetto's. They use milk from their farm and make German Tilsit semi-hard washed rind cheese. I've had the beer, caraway, dill and plain, very good. They have many more flavors I'd like to try, they even make one with hops now.http://harpersfieldcheese.com/

Brooks is good, a nice big place and usually packed but there is no comparison if you've ever been to a wood fired BBQ. Wish they used wood instead of charcoal and smoked their meat.

I saw that show! Her picture is on the wall at Brooks.
We have a great BBQ family here that smokes with cherry wood from my husband. They are called Big Kev's BBQ---they do contests and are getting a name for themselves. They make a pulled pork baked potato that can feed 2 people.
just getting hungry now...
