Cyndi--that's Paton's Wool that I dyed with Koolaid for the MC. The waist and ruffle is Cascade 220. I use the Sheepy pants pattern and Evie pants pattern on Ravelry. I don't know how old your DGD is, but check out the Juliette skirty, too. It's got a soaker underneath, and is so, so cute!

I need a quick baby blanket pattern. Any suggestions?

Do you crochet? Crochet works up faster than knitting (although it also uses more yardage)

That's really cute! She's going to love it. I wish I could crochet. I bought some hooks to play around with, but I haven't had a chance yet. Chickens got in the way.

I'm making one in acrylic right now to see how it works up and if I need to make any changes to the pattern size. I've forgotten how much my hands hurt when knitting/crocheting with acrylic.

(I know, I'm such a yarn snob ....)
