DD,,, I missed an opportunity to get a Flute by a US maker that made them tuned East- West. Meaning the fingering was able to make Arabic flute sounds, and Native American flute sounds ,,,, on same instrument.

I owe you all an update... I'm tired but here goes. Multi parts.

I am home now, after weeks away. Probably the longest time any member of my line has left this northern land. It's plus 3 and I'm cold, which speaks volumes.

11 days after I buried my very soul in the ground next to her mother, my father in law died. He had hung on for so very long -- for a reason, it turns out.

Wrong time indeed. To say my father in law was his own man is an understatement. He was the law for many hundreds, for thousands of miles around. He hated me for a very long time, but with age comes mellow wine, his heart had softened over the years -- unbeknown to me -- or the defiant reason for his anger.

I had not even spoken to him for a decade. Until she died.
