WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT DID YOU JUST RECEIVE?

what kind of poop did you get? how big is it? what's it look like?
It's actually a 10'x16' gable shed. Then I'll set up the inside over the long weekend so I can bring home the 4 week old peeps my sister in law has been keeping for me. I'll keep them in a dog crate in the shed with heat until they finish feathering out because I have another dozen day old peeps coming next week!

I am waiting for a call, or the tracking number to let me know my chicks are at the post office. They stayed 1 1/2 days not moving....yikes! I just hope they are all okay. Its on the cold side here in Michigan still. So it took 3 days as of today. I will have to take they to work with me, I have a heating pad, food, water and everything I hope I will need.
They left Detroit at 3am but still don't show that they arrived here.

I will post some pictures when I get them. I think I'll just do what I did yesterday and leave now and just stop at the post office and ask if they are there yet. No sense waiting for a call, I just have to believe they will get here today. 4 days will be to long for the chicks. worry worry worry!

They shipped Monday from my pet chicken, 3 silkies, 1 easter egger, and 1 ameraucana, I hope the ameraucana is pure bred enough to lay blue eggs.

I have had very good luck with my pet chicken in the past. And my little silkie that I use to foster all my chicks, has been broody now and ready for 3 weeks. So hopefully tonight her old un-fertilized eggs will "hatch".

I finally got them!
I am a new chick mommy

They are snug under the light now and so far all have drank water and most have eaten.
Cackle hatchery sent an extra so I have 21 lovely chickie babies.....Hmmm I wonder how
many hens I have? Time will tell. Time to go watch my new chickies

Got the tracking number from Cackle, they were shipped out today! Should be here tomorrow or Friday, we will have to see! Planning on putting the batch o got a little over a month ago in the coop today so that should keep me busy :) will post pics when they get here!

I got my first chicks ever a week ago. Everything is going very well. They arrived safely and are all eating and drinking. They are already getting little tail feathers! They came from my pet chicken and the breeds are: 2 buff orpingtons, 2 lavender orpingtons, 2 australorps, and a silver laced wyandotte. One chick got pasty butt at day 2, but I cleaned her off right away and she has been fine since. We are working hard to finish the coop before they outgrow my bathtub brooder. ;-)

I have an 8' x 10' shed that I could convert into a wonderful Chicken Coop, but am trying to control myself. I have 10 Chicks and a good sized chicken coop. I am hoping that I can show a little restraint and keep it to just the 10

I finally got my cackle order and we had 25 chicks not 23. They sent me an extra Delaware, and 1 extra NN chick. So I am happy. However the tiniest Delaware passed away. You could see she was going to pass on. She was all the time standing and when she slept she wouldn't lay down her head would be on the floor but her bottom stayed in the air. I found her lying on her side yesterday, and knew she was going about 5 minutes later she was gone. But all the rest are happy and healthy.
